Clouds are ever-changing masses of water
vapor that move through the atmosphere, creating a potentially rich
source of spontaneous imagery. The game of looking at clouds — in
search of anthropomorphic or other organic visions — is essentially
surrealist, in that the imagination, driven by subsconsious desire,
becomes the shepherd that guides the viewer through the cloudy forest.
Therefore, clouds become surrealist found objects when their shapes
inspire images that are unique to the viewer, or somehow reaffirm
the viewer's connection with 'reality' in a highly subjective and
personalized way.
